Cyprus Entrepreneur’s Night
University of Cyprus in cooperation with Diogenes Business Incubator University of Cyprus, successfully organized an Entrepreneurship Night within the framework of STARTENT project on March 30th 2011. The event was supported by the Cyprus Business Incubator Association, the Business Professional Women of Nicosia Club, and The Cyprus Network of Female Entrepreneurship Ambassadors and its partners, First Elements Euroconsultants Ltd and the Mediterranean Institute of Gender Studies.
More than 70 young prospective and female entrepreneurs participated in the event. Entrepreneurial teams that have successfully graduated from the Cyprus Entrepreneurship Competition and Business Incubators participated in the exhibition that followed and presented Cyprus’ high technology startups. Participants had the opportunity to win Entrepreneurial Mentoring Vouchers of €1.000 each, offered by Diogenes Business Incubator University of Cyprus, Helix Business Incubator and First Elements Euroconsultants. Two members of the Parliament attended the event and proclaimed their support to entrepreneurship as part of Europe 2020 goals. Among the participants were the Rector and members of the University of Cyprus Council.
