News Brussels Entrepreneur's Night

The Young Entrepreneurs’ Night was organised by UEAPME, within the frame of the STARTENT project, in Brussels on the 16th of March 2011. The programme included an opening speech by Mr Simone Baldassarri, the responsible project officer from the European Commission, DG Enterprise and Industry. After the opening, the participants had a chance to be involved in an interesting business game regarding creativity and entrepreneurship.

The event focused mainly on networking among would-be entrepreneurs, new entrepreneurs, students, organisations representing and helping entrepreneurs as well as entrepreneurship educators.

The Young Entrepreneurs’ Night also celebrated the winners of the second prize in the transnational category of the European Entrepreneurship Awards. The business plan of “Nanomaterials for oil absorption” was shortly presented by the winner team (Ms Jessica Hernandez and Mr Jorge Pinho).

“We had representatives of the relevant stakeholders, an ice-breaking game and very interesting presentations”, said Ms Timea Czirner (UEAPME), organiser of the event.
